Vintage Hand Painted Floral Trunk - No.9

A beautifully decorative vintage hand-painted metal trunk, rich in colour and traditional folk-art detail.

This piece features a soft sky blue background framed with mustard yellow edging and a delicate hand-painted border of scrolling patterns and tiny floral dots. At the centre of the lid sits an elegant floral spray motif, painted in warm golden tones with soft pink and pale blue flowers, giving the piece a lovely sense of symmetry and craftsmanship.

The front of the trunk carries a matching painted garland, along with original metal clasps and a central carry handle, all showing the gentle wear and patina that comes with age. The faded paint, small marks and rubbed edges add authenticity and character, highlighting the hand-painted nature of the piece.

Its slim rectangular shape makes it a wonderfully versatile storage piece — ideal for letters, photographs, craft supplies, linens or treasured keepsakes — while also working beautifully as a decorative feature on a shelf, console or at the foot of a bed.

Each trunk was hand painted, meaning no two are ever quite the same, making this a unique vintage find full of personality.

HOW OUR DELIVERIES WORK 

We dispatch orders from Monday to Friday – five days a week. Orders placed before 1pm are dispatched on the same day. All orders placed after 1pm are dispatched the following day.

We sadly can't deliver to PO Box addresses.

Orders placed after 1pm will be dispatched the following morning, and orders placed over the weekend will be dispatched on the Monday. In case of a delayed delivery please contact us quoting your name, order number and full address and we will look straight into it for you.

Delivery prices are dependent product size and are broken down as follows and will be automatically calculated at checkout:

• Small Item Shipping (Orders under £10): £3.50

• Transparent Shipping £6.14 - Royal Mail 48 Tracked - This is how much you it costs us to ship your order. As a small business we just don't get the margin on postal fees that the biggies do. 

DELIVERED WHEN YOU’RE NOT AT HOME?

The carrier we use is Royal Mail, they will leave you a card letting you know that a delivery has been attempted. The card should have detailed instructions informing you on how to obtain your parcel. You will have 7 days from the date of attempted delivery to rearrange delivery, after this date items will automatically be returned to us. If the item is returned to us in this way, we will need to charge again for postage before sending the item out again. We will contact you first. To avoid delays in delivering your parcel, we recommend having your item shipped to your daytime address (for example, your work address).

OVERSEAS POSTAGE – EUROPE & REST OF WORLD

Unfortunately we are unable to send items out with the UK at the moment, we are working on this.

RETURNS TO QUINCE & COOK

We hope that you love your purchase, but if for any reason it’s not right, please don’t hesitate to return within 14 working days of delivery. Returned items should be adequately insured during the return journey with proof of postage, Royal Mail Recorded or Special Delivery.

Please ensure that your unwanted product is in its original packaging and in resalable condition.

Along with your product please fill in our returns form and include this in your parcel - failure to include this may delay your refund being processed. A returns form can be obtained by emailing orders@quinceandcook.co.uk

On the rare occasion that your product is faulty please contact us to arrange collection free of charge. Non faulty items will have to be returned at your own cost.

Please allow 28 days for your refund to be processed.

Shipping times will also vary from the above as many items are special delivery due to their size. Shortly after order, a date will be provided and the courier will liaise with you via email or text to confirm precise timings. 

Delivery costs also vary for large appliances, these will be calculated at checkout.
