Founded in 1921, Alemagna has more than a century of Italian baking heritage behind its name. From its early beginnings near Milan, the company became renowned for its naturally leavened cakes and panettone, eventually becoming one of Italy's most recognisable names in festive baking. Its distinctive identity - including the stylised Milan Duomo associated with the brand – reflects its long-standing connection to the city and the great Milanese tradition of panettone.

This luxurious contemporary recipe brings together ribbons of salted caramel, roasted coffee and smooth chocolate, folded through a naturally leavened sourdough dough. Slowly proofed to develop its wonderfully soft, fragrant and melt-in-the-mouth crumb, it's rich and indulgent without losing the beautifully light texture that makes a great panettone so special.

Sophisticated, moreish and just a little unexpected, it's a fabulous choice for anyone who loves panettone but fancies venturing beyond the traditional fruit-filled recipe. The combination of caramel, coffee and chocolate also makes this a particularly lovely after-dinner treat – just add good coffee, or perhaps something a little stronger.

Beautifully hand-wrapped, it makes an impressive Christmas gift and a suitably luxurious addition to the festive table.

A little about Alemagna 1921
Alemagna was founded in the Milan area in 1921 and went on to become one of the great historic names of Italian confectionery. By the 1930s, Alemagna had established itself in the heart of Milan, including a celebrated pasticceria near Piazza del Duomo. More than 100 years later, the Alemagna name remains synonymous with elegant Italian festive baking and naturally leavened panettone.

HOW OUR DELIVERIES WORK

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday, five days a week.

Orders placed before 1pm will usually be dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 1pm will be dispatched the following working day, and orders placed over the weekend will be dispatched on Monday.

Once your order is on its way, you’ll receive tracking information so you can follow its journey.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to deliver to PO Box addresses.

If your delivery seems to be taking a little longer than expected, please get in touch with your name, order number and full delivery address and we’ll happily look into it for you.

Delivery is calculated automatically at checkout depending on the size and value of your order:

  Royal Mail Tracked 48
• Small Item Shipping – £3.50
  Available on qualifying orders under £10
• Expedited Shipping – £6.95
  Royal Mail Tracked 24 – Royal Mail aims to deliver the next working day after dispatch, although this is not a guaranteed next-day service.
• Transparent Shipping – £6.14
  Royal Mail Tracked 48. This is the actual cost to us of sending your parcel. As a small independent business, we don’t have access to the heavily discounted postal rates available to the big guys, so this option simply covers our postage cost.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M NOT HOME?

Our parcels are sent with Royal Mail. If they’re unable to deliver your parcel, they’ll provide details of your delivery options, which may include rearranging delivery or collecting your parcel.

If a parcel is eventually returned to us because delivery couldn’t be completed, we’ll contact you. If you’d like us to send it again, we may need to charge the postage cost for redelivery.

If you know you won’t be home, you may prefer to have your order delivered to an alternative address where someone will be available to receive it.

OVERSEAS DELIVERY

At the moment, we’re unfortunately unable to ship outside the UK. We hope to change this in the future.

RETURNS TO QUINCE & COOK

We hope you love your purchase, but if it’s not quite right, you can return it to us within 14 days of delivery.

Items must be returned unused, in their original packaging and in resalable condition. We recommend using a tracked postal service and keeping your proof of postage until your refund has been processed.

Unless an item is faulty, return postage is the responsibility of the customer.

If your item arrives faulty or damaged, please contact us before returning it so that we can arrange the appropriate return at no cost to you.

Please allow up to 28 days for your refund to be processed.

COOKER & APPLIANCE ORDERS

Cookers and large appliances are subject to separate delivery, cancellation and returns terms. Please see our Terms & Conditions for information relating to individual manufacturers.

Delivery times will also differ from those above, as many large items require a specialist delivery service. Following your order, we’ll provide further information about your expected delivery date, and the courier will usually contact you by email or text to confirm the arrangements.

Delivery charges for large appliances also vary and will be calculated at checkout.
