In the mountainous region of Jaltenango, Chiapas, more than 300 families are part of La Tribu, a local producer organization working across Jaltenango and the Sierra Madre. We purchase coffee through Bean Voyage, who has been partnering with La Tribu for the past few years, focusing our efforts on sourcing from 65 women producers within their network.

These women are not only producing high-quality coffee, they’re cultivating resilience and building thriving businesses for themselves and their families. Despite the structural challenges smallholder farmers often face, they continue to invest in their land, expand their knowledge, and work toward long-term stability. Through coffee, they are creating pathways toward economic autonomy and shared prosperity.

This year, they worked together to develop a decaf lot called Vayichil, a word that means “to dream” in Tzotzil, a Mayan language spoken in many communities throughout Chiapas. The name reflects both the care behind the coffee and the vision these producers carry for their futures.

It may be news to you, but decaffeinated coffee from female producers is seriously difficult to find. Trust us. Do we let that stop, us, hell no. We search high and low to find you the ultimate decaf coffee from the best female producers. Sometimes this might be from micro lots, which means that our decaf is everchanging, change is good, right? But, rest assured that our decaf will always be insanely delicious, you won't even notice that you are drinking decaf, which means you can drink it all day long. Win. Win.

HOW OUR DELIVERIES WORK 

We dispatch orders from Monday to Friday – five days a week. Orders placed before 1pm are dispatched on the same day. All orders placed after 1pm are dispatched the following day.

We sadly can't deliver to PO Box addresses.

Orders placed after 1pm will be dispatched the following morning, and orders placed over the weekend will be dispatched on the Monday. In case of a delayed delivery please contact us quoting your name, order number and full address and we will look straight into it for you.

Delivery prices are dependent product size and are broken down as follows and will be automatically calculated at checkout:

• Transparent Shipping £6.14 - Royal Mail 48 Tracked - This is how much you it costs us to ship your order. As a small business we just don't get the margin on postal fees that the biggies do. 

DELIVERED WHEN YOU’RE NOT AT HOME?

The carrier we use is Royal Mail, they will leave you a card letting you know that a delivery has been attempted. The card should have detailed instructions informing you on how to obtain your parcel. You will have 7 days from the date of attempted delivery to rearrange delivery, after this date items will automatically be returned to us. If the item is returned to us in this way, we will need to charge again for postage before sending the item out again. We will contact you first. To avoid delays in delivering your parcel, we recommend having your item shipped to your daytime address (for example, your work address).

OVERSEAS POSTAGE – EUROPE & REST OF WORLD

Unfortunately we are unable to send items out with the UK at the moment, we are working on this.

RETURNS TO QUINCE & COOK

We hope that you love your purchase, but if for any reason it’s not right, please don’t hesitate to return within 14 working days of delivery. Returned items should be adequately insured during the return journey with proof of postage, Royal Mail Recorded or Special Delivery.

Please ensure that your unwanted product is in its original packaging and in resalable condition.

Along with your product please fill in our returns form and include this in your parcel - failure to include this may delay your refund being processed. A returns form can be obtained by emailing orders@quinceandcook.co.uk

On the rare occasion that your product is faulty please contact us to arrange collection free of charge. Non faulty items will have to be returned at your own cost.

Please allow 28 days for your refund to be processed.

Shipping times will also vary from the above as many items are special delivery due to their size. Shortly after order, a date will be provided and the courier will liaise with you via email or text to confirm precise timings.
