Hello, lovelies! We hope that you are all keeping well and safe. Cast your mind a few short months back to a time of hugs, coffee with friends and a lot less anti-bac. You might remember we announced that we were preparing to open our new Quince & Cook showroom and store in Perth’s bustling Princes Street.
As you may have guessed, we sadly won’t be opening our shop door just yet. But, we are hopeful that day will come and when it does, we’ll be more than ready to welcome all of our Perth friends and family for a browse and catch up.
Without giving too much away, we’ll let you in on a little snippet of what to expect in our new Quince & Cook store.
Taking pride and place in our newly refurbished showroom will be a selection of our finest range cookers. Stocking high-quality brands such as Aga, Esse, Everhot, Lacanche and more.
Pop your head around the corner and you’ll find our top picks in quirky homeware designs from UK Craft, Scandinavian design and independent Makers.
Finally, enjoy the services and products of the Wash House Store where we offer natural and eco-friendly alternatives to body, skin and hair care as well as domestic cleaning items. We’re also Perth's first zero-waste refill station. So, once your favourite product of ours runs out, just pop back in and we’ll top you up.
Not only are we super excited about introducing you to what’s been months of hard work. We’re also really looking forward to meeting our new neighbours. Princes Street is very much the hidden bazaar of Perth. Offering a plethora of artisan and independent businesses from restaurants and cafes to boutiques and even its very own tattoo shop.
With a little extra time on our hands before the big launch day, we thought it would be nice to get to know some of our new neighbours a little better and share their work with you.
No.11 Mila’s Bakery
With long days spent working in the shop, we’ll definitely need the odd sweet treat to keep us going. Mila’s Bakery is a quaint little bakery serving up delicious cakes and pastries all made in house fresh each morning. Blueberry muffins, rustic bread loaves and crumble-in-your-mouth flapjacks are just a few of the tasty treats on offer. This is sure to be a lovely haven for us to enjoy a cuppa on lunch breaks.
No.44 Underneath the Arches
Underneath the Arches is a wonderful little shop that’s full to brim with the most charming selection of vintage and on-trend trinkets and gifts. You can even find upcycled furniture pieces which have undergone a transformation from unwanted and unloved to quirky and chic. Fancy getting crafty yourself? Well, you’re in luck as they also host regular craft classes which we will definitely be making the most of!
No.19 Tayberry Gallery
Much like Quince & Cook, the Tayberry Gallery shares a passion for supporting local designers and crafters. On a stroll through the gallery, you’ll see a range of handmade jewellery, paintings, textiles, ceramic, glasswork and photography. After which, you can even purchase some of the art on show and browse their selection of gifts and homeware. We can’t wait to visit the gallery and discover new local artists and designers.
No.50 Cullach Brewing & Taproom
After a hard day’s work, it’ll be lovely popping down the street to unwind with a drink in hand at Cullach Brewing’s Taproom on Princes Street. Cullach Brewing is a microbrewery based here in Perth, using a blend of modern and traditional methods to create their tasty craft beers. Their welcoming taproom offers a hub for locals to kick back and catch up and they are also quite new to the street!
No.80 Vectran Vintage
We are very excited to share postcodes with fellow homeware fanatics Vectran Vintage. The lovely folks here specialise in antique and vintage furniture, home accessories and silverware from throughout the decades. If a piece is a little battered with age then they’ll ensure it receives a dose of TLC and will transform it into something beautiful.
There are so many other wonderful businesses on Princes Street that we can’t wait to meet and work alongside. Whilst we might not be in the shop, we are still operating online where you can find heaps of information on our range cookers and scroll through our quirky homeware and accessories.
Shop our SS2020 collection here.
Stay safe everyone.
