Ideas To Keep The Little Ones Busy This Summer in Scotland
We know it’s not easy keeping the kids entertained over the school holidays. We've pulled together some ideas of things to do in the local area and ways to keep those rascals busy.
The Black Watch Castle and Museum Craft Activities | Every Wednesday until 13th Aug
Spend Wednesday from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm getting crafty and creative. From making model aircraft to paper collages and clay creations, this is going to be messy, but A LOT of fun. All kids must attend with an adult and to take part they ask that you bring a £3 donation.
Active Kids Adventure Park, Burnside Farm | Open Every Day
Spend some time together as a family or on a playdate at the Active Kids Adventure Park full of fun activities for everyone.
Adults, you can enjoy a coffee and a scone in the onsite cafe and then have a nosey at the gift shop. All whilst the kids are playing in the soft-play area, racing go-karts, zooming down the zipline and lots more outdoor fun. Oh, and did we mention they have farm animals you can visit too!
Situated just outside of Perth, you will have to take a short drive to get there but don’t worry we’ve got the ‘are we there yet’ covered with our Travel Draw and Design Kits. These have all the colouring in and stickers to keep the kids busy in the car - all in one handy zip-up tin.
Toddler’s Yoga with Scotland-All-Strong | Mondays or Fridays
This is one for the really wee ones, 2-3-year-olds are welcome to join this weekly class at only 45 minutes so it’s the perfect activity to fit in with the busy schedule of a parent. They will have an absolute blast at this class and get their dose of fitness for the day so why not pop along with this summer.
Perth Medieval Fayre, King Edward Street | 10th August
For history lovers, you can get involved in Perth’s Medieval Fayre where we celebrate our City’s historic roots. Try your hand at some skills such as loom weaving and wheel spinning then watch actors recreate medieval scenes and listen to some music of the era. Did we mention all of this is free? A great day out for all the family.
Get the wee ones in the medieval spirit with our Princess Castle Puzzle Tin, the handy tin can be popped into a bag for those on-the-go boredom emergencies.
Perth Leisure Pool | Open Every Day
We can’t always count on the Scottish summer weather but we can always count on Perth Leisure Pool for a fun family afternoon - a must in the summer holidays. If we are lucky and see some sun then they have us sorted as well with the outdoor pool. From flumes to a jungle water play area there’s something for all ages.
These are only just a few of the things to look forward to in Perth and the surrounding area this summer, there is still plenty more going on in our local area it’s just a case of finding out about it.
Whatever you choose to do these summer holidays we wish you an absolute blast here at Quince and Cook.
