Francesco Bertazzoni, an Italian businessman was motivated to create a beautiful wood-burning stove by the love of his family, good cuisine, and inventive engineering. Where did his inspiration come from in the 19th century? Trains. After seeing how trains of that era used wood-burning stoves to heat carriages and serve prepared food for employees on board, the idea for Bertazzoni stoves came to fruition.
