Autumn 2021 interior design trends that we predict you’ll love
Does anyone else feel like 2021 is whizzing by? Already we are turning our attention to the interior design and homeware trends that we think are going to be the talk of the town in Autumn 2021. Crazy, isn't it? As fabulous as sunny summer days are, I defy anyone to not get a little thrill at the prospect of crisp, fresh mornings, cosy jumpers, golden brown crunchy leaves and a piping hot chocolate.
So without further due, here are our top home design trends for this Autumn that we think you'll adore.
Sustainability is trending all year round
It’s the trend that blooms all year round. We are delighted to see that sustainability is becoming ever more important in how we shop for interiors, cookware and more. Autumn 2021 is no different! Choosing homeware and décor pieces that are made using ethical practices, eco-conscious materials and often produced locally is still a priority for many shoppers this season. Non-toxic materials, plastic-free and upcycled furniture are all Autumn/Winter staples. For those who dare, you could also begin growing a collection of house plants!
Celebrate Mother Nature’s natural textures

Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere through natural textures as the temperature begins to drop outdoors. Add neutral shades into the mix with textured blankets, woven bamboo baskets, twines of autumnal botanics - real or artificial. Layering up various textures and shades within the same colour palette creates a comforting environment.
Going for Green
There appears to be a running theme of nature inspired design as our next hot trend is the shade green. In particular deep shades of green are going to be spotted on the walls, in fabrics and home accessories.
Modern Meets Rustic
Two worlds collide as slick, modern minimalism meets natural, bohemian, rustic style...and we’re loving it! But, how can you apply this new trend to your home? In accessories, you can mix bright, geometric metalics on door handles, ornaments, or tables with woollen blankets, woven coasters and much more. Take the time to source some second hand and antique pieces and have a lot of fun styling your modern pad into an urban paradise. A perfect excuse to snoop out the final car boot sales of summer!
Rusty Orange & Shades of Peach
Even the word Autumn evokes a warm glow of orange to be associated with the new season. Rightly so, you’ll be seeing shades of orange and peach creeping back into shops and homes this autumn. Rather than deep, bold tones of orange it seems to be more muted rusty oranges and muted peaches that are the favourites for Autumn 2021’s colour palette. These tones also look fabulous in summer!
All About Shapes

We are seeing a lot more creativity when it comes to bringing the art of sculpture into your home. No, we’re not talking about extravagant art pieces taking over your living room, but if you look closely at homeware ranges we’re seeing more consideration of shape in the structure. This could be in the formation of a set of shelves, table ornaments, candle holders and pretty much anything structural. It’s very art deco meets modern design and it’s certainly a hit with us.
Be sure to let us know what interior trends you’re loving at the moment and how you’ll be preparing your living space for Autumn and Winter 2021.
We’ll be stocking up on plenty of new interiors, home accessories, cookware and more very soon, so keep an eye out for what’s to come!
