We are incredibly excited to be hosting a pop up shop as part of Women's Business Station's 'Celebrating Female Entrepreneurs' Showcase. This is in collaboration with the amazing Sook who have a collection of spaces nationwide that are purpose built for pop up events, giving independent retailers, designers, makers and creators a space to share their passions.

We'll be taking over part of their new St James Quarter store to bring you a little bit of Quince & Cook in Edinburgh from Monday 30th of August - Sunday 5th September 2021

When the team at WBS approached us, I jumped at the chance to take part. Give me a platform to shout about indie business and female entrepreneurs and I'm there in a heartbeat! Plus I just love getting out and about chatting to new people.

This has been a new adventure for me, we've never hosted a pop up, although we do love a market, but hosting a pop up is a different ball game entirely and it's one that I have just loved planning. 

As well as a Q&C showcase, I wanted to use our time at the pop up to unveil our new AW21 Season range so this will be your first glimpse of what's to come in the Perth shop and online this Autumn. There will be designs from independent makers as well as well known Scandi brands. Here is a glimpse of our moodboard!

Inspiration for our AW21 range came from a photograph that I spotted, a simple image of a person holding a bouquet of faux and dried blooms. The colours just appealed so much and I knew that I wanted to build our season around this. As you can see it's a mix of mauves, rusts, pinks, ochres with a spattering of jewel tones. This photo has also been a strong inspiration for some own brand ranges coming later this year, so watch this space!

Part of the planning has involved some fellow Perthshire indies and Esty makers, including Michele at Nova Botanics in Dunkeld who will be creating some dried flower arrangements for the pop up, we've had some amazing cement display stand made by Misce Studio on Etsy, oh and we'll be bringing along our Q&C Bean Shop coffee to keep us fuelled, it'll also be available to purchase too.
